Abstract</h2>
<h3>
Purpose</h3>
<p>The aim of the project was to create an excellent center focused on: a) training in EBP, b) methodology and development of systematic reviews, and c) collaboration with health facility managers in implementing EBP into clinical practice.</p>
<h3>
Background</h3>
<p>Healthcare professionals in Czech Republic are familiar with the term EBP, however, they generally use only few &ldquo;steps&rdquo; of EBP approach. EBP approach is not yet fully included into standard curricula of health professionals. Currently, the awareness of EBP in the Czech Republic is arising.</p>
<h3>
Materials &amp; Methods</h3>
<p>1) training courses for core workers: a) &quot;How to Practice Evidence-Based Health Care&quot;, Univeristy of Oxford, b) &quot;Comprehensive systematic review training program&quot;, University of Adelaide and University of Nottingham, 2) establishing of The Czech Republic (Middle European) Centre for Evidence-Based Health Care: An Affiliated Centre of The Joanna Briggs Institute at Palack&yacute; University (PU), 3) workshops for university teachers, 4) EBP implementation into the syllabuses of master study, 5) education and promotion of EBP approach among healthcare professionals, 6) development of systematic reviews, 7) consultation in the field EBP and SR.</p>

Results</h3>
<p>The Czech JBI Centre was established in December 2013 under Department of Social Medicine and Public Health, Faculty of Medicine (PU). Our multidisciplinary team is led by three experts with experience and training in a field of EBHC, EBP, quantitative and qualitative systematic reviews, including meta-analysis and meta-synthesis.&nbsp;</p>
<h3>
Conclusion</h3>
<p>Implementation of EBP into clinical practice and syllabus is not possible without institutional support. The Czech JBI represents have key connection between researchers, clinicians and students in medicine, nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy and health care management, and also with the leadership of the University Hospital Olomouc and other bodies.</p>
