ISRN Launches Second Wave of the Network Study on the Impact of Cognitive Load on Medication Errors

The Improvement Science Research Network (ISRN) invites hospitals to engage in a research collaborative investigating the impact of cognitive load, interruptions, and distractions on medication administration errors. In the second wave of this ISRN Network Study, ten hospitals will have the opportunity to partner with the ISRN on a research collaborative for healthcare improvement.

With a focus on improvement strategies, the ISRN research collaboratives use interdisciplinary teams and principles grounded in the Science of Team Science and virtual collaboration to conduct quality improvement studies on a national, landmark level.

In order to be eligible for consideration, applications must be submitted as an email attachment to the ISRN Coordinating Center no later than 5:00pm CST on Friday, April 26, 2013. A transdisciplinary team of experts will evaluate the applications. Study sites will be notified of their status no later than Wednesday, May 1, 2013.
