<p><strong><img alt="" src="/sites/isrn.net/files/images/Glenn%20Kuriger.jpg" style="width: 122px; height: 161px; float: left; margin: 5px;" />Dr. Glenn Kuriger</strong> is a Continuous Learning Coach in the Continuous Learning and Improvement Program at Scott &amp; White Healthcare (August 2012 &ndash; present). He previously served as a Research Assistant Professor in the Center for Advanced Manufacturing and Lean Systems in the Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) (2007-2012). He previously served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with the Center. He received his BS (1995) in Electrical Engineering, MS (1998) and PhD (2006) in Industrial Engineering from the University of Oklahoma. He worked at the Center for the Study of Wireless Electromagnetic Compatibility at the University of Oklahoma as a Research Associate and Associate Director (1998-2007). While there he was responsible for designing and performing many research studies. These include studies examining wireless phones with pacemakers, hearing aids, and implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs). He co-authored numerous technical reports for the Center. His current research interests include Lean Healthcare, Lean Manufacturing and Lean Concepts; Lean Energy and Environmental Value Stream Mapping; Simulation Modeling; Operations Research; Multi-Criteria Optimization; Green Manufacturing; and Simulation Optimization.</p>
